
Isadore Zeltsman, formerly of Livingston, N.J., and Cedar Grove, N.J., died at home in New York City on Jan. 6, 2014. "Izzi" is survived by his wife, Renee Green (nee Hufnagel). His first wife, Karola Helga (nee Weissmann), died in 1984. The funeral will be at noon Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, N.J. Burial will follow at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, Route 22 East, Union, N.J. Born April 26, 1920, in Kishinev, Romania, Izzi moved to Canada with his family when he was three years old and to the US when he was nine. He attended Essex County Vocational School in Newark, N.J.; served in the US Army in World War II, and worked as a compositor at Lasky Company for 42 years. Following retirement, he worked for the Town of Livingston, N.J. -- he delivered meals-on-wheels, hung art at the town hall for the Livingston Arts Council, took photographs at parties given by the Livingston Advisory Committee on Disabilities, and worked as a crossing guard. He was an avid photographer, an active member of the Livingston Camera Club, and a world traveler. Son of the late Marcus and Biba Hutoryansky Zeltsman, he is also survived by a daughter, Jeanne Forester (husband John) and a son, Jon Zeltsman (wife Miriam Haas), and stepsons, Mickey and Jody Green. He was grandfather to Reuben Tomar, Sarah Scott (husband Jack) and Corinna Zeltsman; step-grandfather to Bonnie Schroeder, Emily Pettineroli and John Forester. He was great-grandfather to Nathaniel and Henry Scott and to six step-great-grandchildren. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.
