Italia Romano (nee De Vito) of Livingston passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was 85 years old.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, from 2-6 pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 12, 2018 at10 am in St. Philomena’s Church in Livingston followed by the interment in Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
Born in Newark to the late Maria (nee Colasanti) and Tommasi DeVito, Italia lived in East Orange before moving to Livingston 50 years ago.
She was employed by Sears in Livingston for more than 30 years as a sales clerk retiring 20 years ago.
She was the beloved wife of Erminio Romano, devoted mother of Angelo and his wife Dawn, David and his wife Connie, and Robert and his wife Maria, loving sister of Mary Venutola, Angelina DeLucia, and the late Theresa Petrozzello, and cherished grandmother of Danielle, Alexa, Aleksandra, Shane, and Lisa.
