Jane Cooperman

Jane was full of life, always up for an adventure, and had many hobbies and passions, which evolved over time. She loved ballroom dancing, yoga, gym classes and sessions at the YMCA, Zumba, reading, silent meditation, lunches at Delicious Heights, walks around the neighborhood with her many friends, and she cherished her time with family. She was always giving to others – in her profession as a Nursing Administrator, her time as a Wellness Coach, and also as a Yoga Instructor. She personified positivity and love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncle Edwin Zlotnick. She is survived by her two children, Ben Katof (Lei) of Queens, NY and Rebecca McElroy (Rob) of Closter NJ, her 3 grandchildren Lila, Collin and Luke McElroy, her sister Nancy Star (Larry), her niece Lizzy Beck (Peter), Raphael Star (Gillian Goldberg), her Aunt Rhoda, cousins David and Ellen Zlotnick, her dear companion Alan, as well extended family and friends who adored her. She had two precious (and mischievous) cats, James and Buddy, who she loved spending her days with.

Her family, dear friends, and all who knew her will remember her fondly for eternity.

A Funeral will be held at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039, on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 11am. The family will be receiving guests from 10:15am to 10:45am. The burial will follow at at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market St, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663.
