Funeral service Sunday, January 5, at 11 A.M. in the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston
with interment in B'nai Abraham Memorial Park.
Born in Elizabeth,she lived in Edison before moving to Boynton Beach 30 years ago.
A noted sculptor, she was represented by galleries in New York and Florida
and had sales throughout the world. She was an avid golfer and was a member
of Hunter's Run in Boynton Beach and Shakamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains.
Her involvement in many Jewish charities included UJA and Hadassah.
The beloved wife of the late Robert Newman and the late William Rocker,
Joan was the devoted mother of Lynn & Bruce Schonbraun and Carol and
Dr. Kenneth Rubin, the loving grandmother of Michael & Emily Schonbraun,
David & Erin Schonbraun, Dana Rubin and Eric Rubin and the adoring great-
grandmother of Alexa, Lily, Oliver & Sam Schonbraun.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity
of your choice.
