

Joy Grace Williams, born on September 2, 1942, in Trinidad, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and compassionate nurse, Joy lived a life defined by unwavering faith, service, and kindness. She was a long-time resident of Piscataway, NJ, before relocating to Orlando, Florida.
Joy began her early education in Trinidad and later continued her studies in England, where she pursued her passion for nursing and completed her nursing degree. Her first nursing position was at East Orange General Hospital. After relocating to Florida, she went on to become a Charge Nurse in the Neonatal Unit at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, dedicating over 40 years of her life to caring for newborns and supporting families with tenderness and expertise.
Rooted deeply in her faith, Joy was a longtime member of Orlando Baptist Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir and took part in several missionary trips, offering her nursing skills to communities in need. Her voice, her compassion, and her steadfast love for God were central to how she lived her life.
Joy is survived by her devoted husband, Earl; and her loving sons, Wayne and David. She is also survived by Wayne’s wife, Helen, and their daughters, Taylor and Grace; as well as David’s children, Brandon and Brianna, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Fred and Gertrude Babb, and her sister, Jean Babb. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Joan Morris, Annette Lewis, and Glenda Howell, along with extended family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives she touched throughout her many years of service.
Joy’s legacy is one of compassion, grace, unwavering faith, and profound love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A viewing will be held on December 17, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, located at 771 Somerset St, Franklin Township, NJ 08873, US.
The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location.
Entombment will take place at 1:00 pm at Lake Nelson Memorial Park Association, 150 Morris Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854, US.
