Joyce I. Blum

Joyce Ilene Blum, age 86, passed peacefully in her home of natural causes on August 6, 2022. A retired mother of three, Joyce is survived by her children Debbie Rucker (Terry), Doreen Lehrhoff, and Steven Lehrhoff (Jennifer), and her grandchildren Sean Rucker and Graham and Adeline Lehrhoff.

Born January 12, 1936 in Newark, NJ, Joyce was the only child of Samuel and Gene Blum. She grew up in Maplewood, NJ, graduated from Columbia High School, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Centenary Jr. College. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Albert Lehrhoff.

Joyce was a true pioneer in the late 70’s, who started a career to support her family. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Bendit, Weinstock for over 40 years.

Her grandchildren will remember her big hugs, love and loyalty. In her words, having children and grandchildren was the lottery of her life - “it made her a winner”!

We vision Joyce…styled with a fresh manicure, on a beautiful beach, reading a bestseller, sipping a seltzer water, and looking forward to a bowl of coffee ice cream and sprinkles.
