Jules B. Blaustein, 98, of Livingston died March 19, 2019. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Springfield and Short Hills prior to moving to Livingston. He graduated from the University of Newark, now Rutgers, prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Blaustein and his late wife Irene were married for 70 years. They worked together in their family owned business, M. Blaustein Furs. He was a longtime member of Temple B’nai Israel in Millburn and later Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston. For over 45 years Jules and Irene were members of Cedar Hill Country Club and spent winters in Boca Raton, Florida.
He is survived by his sister Miriam Friedman, his children Lauren Perkel (Lloyd), Barbara Levine (Roy), Carol Barnhard (Paul), 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
