

Lauren was born on September 1, 1965. She was the oldest of four siblings. Lauren lived in West Orange, NJ until 3rd Grade when the family moved to Short Hills where she completed her education, attending Deerfield Elementary, Millburn Jr. High School, and Millburn High School (’83). She loved her summers as a camper at the Point O’ Pines Camp for Girls in Brant Lake, NY (Peak of 1980). Following her high school graduation, she studied at Carnegie Melon University, earning a BFA in Industrial Design (’87). She was an accomplished Industrial Designer. She worked in New York as an Industrial Designer and became a Project Manager designing point-of-purchase displays. While she loved her job, Lauren always knew the job she really wanted was to be a mom. She was most happy when she was with her kids. Lauren loved her friends dearly and kept in touch with her closest childhood friends until the very end.
Lauren is survived by her children, Rachel and Justin, their father, Rich, her parents, Lucille and Roger Berg, and her siblings Eileen (Ken) Rollin, Myles (Samantha) Berg and Brian (Janine) Berg, and her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
A funeral service for Lauren will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 1PM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.
