Lawrence H. Burger was a man of few words and impeccable integrity. Larry’s advice was often sought and highly valued by young and old. With the help, support, and loving care of his devoted wife of 57 years, Linda Lafer Burger, Larry’s sheer will and determination helped him overcome decades of major medical challenges and dire predictions. He died peacefully at home.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he was a successful business man, leaving a legacy of experience in his field. He was a past president of the National Electrical Contractors Association. He was also known for his work as Chairman of the National Joint-Apprentice Training Committee. L.U. 581, where he was renowned for helping others flourish in their careers. Larry was co-owner of Dynamic Electric and a good friend of Temple B’nai Abraham. In his younger years, he was an accomplished bridge player, attaining the level of Life Master, a 32nd Mason, and a proud member of TEP fraternity RHO Chapter.
In addition to Linda, Larry is survived by their three sons, Todd, Jeffrey, and Robert Burger, Robert’s wife Debra Burger, PSY.D, his nine grandchildren, and his sister Bonnie Feldman.
