

Marty was a graduate of Columbia H.S and Ohio University. He was a lieutenant in the Air Force stationed in Japan where he headed a mobile air traffic control unit, enabling him to travel to many countries in the Far East. After leaving the service, Marty married Judy, the love of his life. They were married for 57 years. They moved to Livingston N.J. In 1965 where they raised their two wonderful children.
Marty had a successful career in real estate first as a broker with the Archie Schwartz Co. and then as an executive with Vornado Realty Trust. He was a member of NACORE, President of NAIOP where he was honored with a lifetime achievement award, and President of Maplewood Country Club.
Marty loved sports as both a participant and fan. He was a pitcher for his team in the Livingston Men's Softball League, an avid golfer, loved the NY Yankees, and was a long suffering fan of the NYJets. He and Judy travelled extensively, enjoyed the theater,music and art.
Upon retiring and moving to Rancho Mirage, Marty became active in many organizations. He was on the Board of Jewish National Fund, served as President of AIPAC, President of his Homeowners Association, and volunteered with the USO. One of the highlights of his retirement was his participation in hisTuesday morning discussion group where he and his friends debated and shared thoughts about domestic and foreign affairs.
Marty is survived by his wife Judy, his children Peter and Debbie,brother Ted(Linda),daughter-in-law Judy, son-in-law Jim,and grandchildren,Jennifer,Jake,Amy, Stephanie, and Jacquelyn.
Marty dearly loved his family, his friends, his country, and Israel.
Services will be held on Wednesday ,April 26, 2:00PM At Bernheim Apter Kreitzman,Livingston,N.J. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jewish National Fund,Wounded Warriors ,or a charity of your choice.
