I only knew Marty for the last 7 years.  He was on the board of JCF when I joined. He and Floyd Shapiro would sit together at the meetings and they both always had a friendly smile and hello for everyone. As I got to know Marty better, I had the honor of going to his home in Westfield for a visit that turned into a 2 hour conversation about everything from his earliest memories of Federation to his daughters. Marty's face light up when we talked about our joy in having daughters (I have 3). He always softened and shone when speaking of his long beautiful marriage to Muriel. I left the house feeling elevated and deeply touched by everything Marty shared.  May his memory be a blessing and a guiding light to future generations.
