Marty graduated from Montclair Academy in 1953 before earning his Industrial Engineering degree with honors from Penn State University in 1957. He later received his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
He owned Reliance Programs and Systems Consultants, a data processing consulting firm, and later worked for Manufacturers Hanover Trust, known as Chemical Bank following its merger and then Chase Bank, retiring in 2000. After retiring, Marty enjoyed working part-time for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Additionally, he was a member of Board of Trustees of EIES of New Jersey.
Marty had a lifelong love of cars and was known for his vast knowledge in computers and willingness to help others. Family and friends could always count on him for a helping hand.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Wendi; sister, Linda Warner, son; Steven and his wife Amy; daughter, Susan Lehman and her partner Joe Norton; granddaughters, Lauren Lehman Ortiz and husband Jon, and Rachel Lehman; Julia and Ava Gutkin; and great-grandchildren Lucas and Lily Ortiz.
A Funeral Service will be held at Cedar Park Cemetery - Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey 07652, on July 31, 2026 at 1:15 pm.
Entombment will take place at Cedar Park Cemetery - Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey 07675, on July 31, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
