I am Jennifer Susicke (formerly Allan) and I worked for Marvin 20 years ago.  I'm so incredibly sad to hear about his passing. Some of my favorite memories with him were the busy Sunday pharmacy shifts and having him pick me up at home on Crescent Road on snowy days to open the pharmacy for those in need. He was wonderful to my beloved mother, Terry Allan, who  also just passed on 6/3/26. 

My thoughts are with your family as you grieve and heal.

I am so heart broken hearing that our beloved pharmacist had  passed.   I wish I could have told Marvin how much he meant to me and my family as he helped us navigate our health. Marvin knew it all. He never made a mistake, explained  the process when it was confusing and helped us understand the  meds when we didn’t know what the side effects were.  He was a gentleman, honest and caring.  I shall miss him  each time I walk into Northfield Pharmacy.   I wish I told him what he really meant to me!   Sending our condolences to his family.

It was a rarity to  encounter someone of Marvin's caliber, knowledge base and professionalism. I have been going  Northfield Pharmacy for over 55 five years ever since I was a little girl. Marvin knew the answers to my questions and always inquired about our family. 

It was always a pleasure to see his beautiful wife and the excellent staff at Northfield Pharmacy who will continue his legacy.

I was so saddened to hear of Marvin's passing. My husband and I started our relationship with Northfield Pharmacy in 1988 when we first moved to Livingston. We got such personal service from Marvin. He was never too busy to answer questions and give advice when needed. We had a lot of medical needs in our family,  and Marvin was always so helpful. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Marvin's passing, he was a wonderful and
special caring man.  He always had kind words and time to discuss
any problem you might have had.

So sorry to hear this sad news. We first came to Northfield Pharmacy when a CHAIN pharmacy made a mistake on my prenatal vitamins. They were making me sick. A friend said I should take it to Marvin at Northfield Pharmacy and have him look at the script & pills in the bottle. He looked at the bottle and realized I was getting a double dose!  We became customers that day. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have Marvin when our daughter was going through High-Risk pre-b acute lymphoblastic leukemia, ovarian cancer and Graves Disease. He was on top of all at-home medications, interactions, and supported us through The Valerie Fund. When a doctor asks which pharmacy we use, I always say Marvin at Northfield Pharmacy like why would anyone use anyone else. My condolences to the whole family and friends of Marvin Goldstein.

He truly cared about everyone around him. when Marvin asked you ,  how are you doing,  it wasn't just words,  he really wanted to know how you were doing .   He loved his business, his customers , his family, and would do anything for his family.

I count myself as being very lucky and blessed to have worked
for Marvin & Judy for the past 26 years.  It was always a pleasure
to come into work and be among friends.  Marvin set the tone.
He was the epitome of Mr. Cool.  He really and truly cared about
his customers and his employees. He was my mentor, teacher, medical advisor and friend.  I always marveled at how he remained so patient and caring no matter how hectic or difficult it got.
He loved to laugh and enjoyed a good joke.
At company holiday parties he was in his element and it was so obvious that he and Judy truly cared about their employees and the feeling was reciprocated.
Marvin was that rare person.. a true gentleman and gentle man.

Our family was so fortunate to have Marvin as our pharmacist. He was always there to answer our questions in a calming, gentle manner.  Always professional but with a smile on his face.  He will be missed.  May his memory be a blessing.

Marvin was always smiling when I stopped  in to picked up a prescription. He was professional but friendly and had time for a quick exchange about golf drugs. I shall miss him.

i am so sorry to read this.  He was a friend of my dad (Howard Rozalsky) .   My dad was a year or two older than Marv but they were both from Newark and both graduated Rutgers as pharmacists.   I remember going to his store many times with my dad and he was always so kind to us.

My heart is broken to know that I will never see him again…I adored him and he was like family to me. I am so very sorry for his beloved Judie and his loving family …he was like no one I have ever known. It was an honor to know him and have him in my life all these many years…I wish only the happiest of memories to his family…

Having worked at his beloved Northfield Pharmacy from 1986 through 1994, I can attest that he was a true man of character, one who had a positive impact on all of those lucky enough to know him.  He dedicated his entire being to taking care of others- his family, friends, employees, and customers. I will be forever grateful that I came to know him and that he contributed to my own perspective on the world so meaningfully. Visiting the pharmacy for over 30 years my interactions with Marvin always followed the same pattern. We began with going over the possible side effects of a particular drug, moved on to our games of golf, and the critique of a recent local restaurant. Throughout the many years from then until recently,  Marvin provided me with the  very best pharmaceutical  assistance and made himself available to me during the most stressful of times.  For that, I will remain grateful and appreciative.  He was skilled and knowledgeable and a gentleman.  I’m very sad and sorry for this loss.  I’m sure that I am not alone in  the knowledge that all of us who frequented  & are customers of the pharmacy share a great sense of loss.  He was a special and most caring professional man.  May you somehow find comfort that you all shared a special family lifetime together and that Mark and I appreciated the specialness of Marvin.  May Marvin’s memory be a blessing.
