

Maurice M. Ruberman, 83, of Livingston, NJ passed away July 4, 2015. Born in Jersey City, he joined the US Army after high school, serving in the Korean War. He then attended Pace University where he received a degree in Marketing. He was a buyer for Korvettes and for the National Shirt Shops, and a designer for Van Heusen and Waltham Shirts, until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Ruberman has been a long time member of Temple B’nai Abraham.
Maurice was the beloved husband of Elise Ruberman for 55 years, loving father of Beth Pechman (Seth) of Chester, NY and Donna Shahrabani (David) of Livingston, cherished grandfather of Ellie and Carson Shahrabani. He was at the beck and call of his grandchildren, whenever they needed him, and he enjoyed giving them rides to Hebrew School, the orthodontist, or just home after school. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an extremely devoted son of the late Barney and Martha Ruberman, and brother of the late Perle Garnet, Norman Ruberman, and Aaron Mann.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Home, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Interment to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
