Morris Raiffe

Morris Raiffe, 90, a lifelong resident of Linden, NJ, passed away on Aug. 9, 2017. Mr. Raiffe served as a Merchant Marine during WWII. He owned and operated Raiffe’s Youth Center children’s clothing store in Linden for over 50 years, and ran a second location in Menlo Park for over 20 years. He was a member of the Linden Merchant’s Assoc. and Kiwanis Club, President of the YM/YWHA Couples Club, worked with Lincs Food Pantry in Linden. He was very involved with Cong. Anshe Chesed, acting as Social Activities Director, President of the Couples Club for over 18 years, and President of AAA of Tremley Burial Society for over 40 years.

Morris was the beloved husband of Minette for 68 years, loving father of Deborah Jacobs (Michael), David Raiffe (Marybeth), Lisa Jacob (Bruce), and Jeffrey Raiffe, cherished grandfather of Evan, Abby, Shira, Deena, Sarah, Joshua, Samantha, Gabriella, and Shayna, devoted great-grandfather of Lev, Eitan, Sasha, and Hannah, brother of Mary Silpe.

A funeral service will be held a Cong. Anshe Chesed, 1000 Orchard Terr., Linden NJ, 07036. Burial to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woobridge, NJ. Arrangements in the care of Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel (973-422-0600). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cong. Anshe Chesed.
