Muriel Worth Rubin, 92, died on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. Services with be held at 1 p.m. today at the Temple of Israel Chapel on the grounds of Beth Israel Memorial Park in Woodbridge, N.J. Arrangements are by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston, N.J. bernheimapterkreitzman.com. Mrs. Rubin was a longtime resident of Whippany, N.J., and South Orange, N.J. She was an outstanding primary school teacher for 40 years. She taught in Scranton, Pa., and the Washington School in West Orange, N.J. She retired and became a teacher of English as a second language to Russian immigrants. Mrs. Rubin was an avid reader and a writer of poetry and a fabulous baker and cook. She is survived by her two daughters, Marjorie R. Francis (Michael) and Lisa R. Freda; and five grandchildren, Lauren Francis Coulthard, Robert Francis, Scott Freda, Jonathan Freda, and Samantha Freda. She also leaves behind her six great-grandchildren, Amanda, Ethan, Jonathan, Lexi, Evan, and Annabelle
