Nicholas V. Scutti

Nicholas V. Scutti, 89, of Brick, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Brandywine Assisted Living at Reflections, where he resided.

Born in Haskell, he lived in Belleville and Bloomfield before moving to Toms River in 2001.

Nick was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. He was employed as a welder for Englehard Industries in Carteret for more than 25 years retiring in 1996.

He was predeceased by the love of his life of 67 years, Catherine A. (Kitty) (nee Dasaro) Scutti, his parents Lucille and Dominic Scutti, and siblings Joseph Scutti and Mickey Richie.

He is survived by his loving children Cathleen Caccavella and her husband Stephen, Steven Scutti and his wife Donna, Diane Perrotta and her husband Thomas, and Michele Bardi and her husband Brian, cherished grandchildren Christopher Caccavella and his wife Shannon, Niccole Soto and her husband Luis, Thomas Perrotta and his partner Jose Soto, Steven Scutti and his wife Michelle, Deanna Copeland and her husband James, Daniel Perrotta, Brian Bardi and his fiancé Margaret , and Alec Bardi, adored great grandchildren Christopher and Caitlin Caccavella and Riley, Rory, and Reagan Copeland, and Louisa Scutti, and dear siblings Madeline Scutti, Dominic Scutti, Ann Marie Graffeo, and Terri Spera and her husband Joseph.

Visitation will be held at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue in Livingston, on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 9-11:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will also be offered on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Roseland at 12 noon, followed by the Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and capacity limitations, visitors are asked to briefly pay respects to the family in order to accommodate others. Masks are required at all times and kindly practice social distancing. As a result, regretfully, the family will not be sharing in a repast after the funeral.

I will miss Nick so much. He was an absolutely wonderful man who will be truly missed by many. I know how much he loved his family. Everyone loved Nick, especially me. I am going to miss seeing him everyday.Rest In Peace.
