He was raised in South Orange graduating from Columbia High School in 1933. He was a 1st Lt in the US Army serving in WW II and the Korean War.
He was a manufacturers’ rep, selling plumbing supplies, and founded The Ward Co.
He was passionate about tennis, playing well into his 80s.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Ward, and is survived by his daughters, Beth Ward and Karen Gabriele, his son-in-law Ron Gabriele and his beloved granddaughters Amanda and Jaclyn Gabriele.
