OBITUARY

Paul L. Rizzo

February 11, 1946April 17, 2020

Paul L. Rizzo of West Orange, formerly of Cranford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.

He was the beloved husband of Margaret Rose Christen, loving father of Laura Lauritano and Amy Rizzo, cherished grandfather of Michael and Matthew Lauritano, and dear brother of Patricia Raffellini and her husband Robert. He was also survived by many Raffellini nieces and nephews.

Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Mildred and Dante Rizzo. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a longtime member of the American Legion.

Over the past 20 years, Paul worked as an assistant controller for EI Associates in Cedar Knolls. Paul was a devout Catholic and a wonderful and generous human being. He touched the hearts of everyone who encountered him.

He was an avid Yankee fan. He enjoyed time spent at Yankee Stadium with his brother in law Robert Raffellini and nephews, Andy and Stephen. He was proud of his grandsons for their active participation in sports, especially following his passion for baseball.

God Bless you, my Paul, as you make your journey to perpetual love, light, and peace. You will be in my heart for always. Your loving wife.

With restrictions recently placed on occupancy in public spaces by the State of New Jersey in the ongoing efforts to limits the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Paul’s funeral arrangements are being held privately under the direction of the LaMonica Memorial Home in Livingston and there will not be any services held in the future.

Due to the untimely circumstances surrounding his passing from this virus, any donations would be appreciated. Kindly mail to his wife, Margaret Rose Christen, at 141 Old Short Hills Road, Apt. 11, West Orange, NJ 07052.

Dear One
My heart is broken and I miss you terribly. I cannot believe you are not here, neither can the pets.
I am happy you are walking happy in heaven, but hope you can look out for me as you always did, because I am suffering here.
God is with you, a piece of my heart is with you as well.
Till I see you again.

To Our Dear Paul,
As a former co-worker at EI for more than 7 years, and good friend I will missed you my brother-in-arms. The 'How are yous', 'Good Morning Paul', ' How you feel Paul', etc. phrases you responded in positive attitudes, these I won't forget. You are now in the hands of our Heavenly Father the creator of the universe, God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and King David, in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ you now found the real PEACE, no more sickness & no more disease. Thank you for the opportunity working with you. God bless & Condolence to your family. Hosea Matic.
