

Pearl W. Lewis of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on January 19, 2018. She grew up in Newark and graduated from Weequahic High School in 1942. Her family moved to Maplewood and she graduated in 1946 from the University of Vermont and was a Phi Beta Kappa.
She resided in Livingston for many years before moving to Boynton Beach in 1989. She was active in the National Council of Jewish Women while in New Jersey.
Pearl was the daughter of Max and Celia Weissbard and the loving wife of the late Morton Lewis. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Barbara Joan) of Oakland, CA, and Michael Lewis of West Orange, NJ, her 3 grandchildren Molly, Mark, and Elijah, a sister Elaine Fein of Aurora, CO, and a brother the Honorable Harvey Weissbard (Joyce) of Fairfield, NJ, her beloved nieces and nephews Debbie Weissbard Harrington (Mark), Rachel Teyssier (John), David (Anne), Susan, Nancy, and Robert Fein (Candace).
A funeral service will be offered Tuesday 11:45AM at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
