Peter Hollander, 83, of North Caldwell passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. Peter worked as an Insurance Executive with Hollander Company in West Orange. Mr. Hollander was the Founder and President of the North Caldwell Police Foundation. He was also a Board Member of the Frog Crossing Foundation, a lifetime supporter of womens’ and animal rights. Considered a man for all seasons as well as a perfectionist, a man of distinction and an old-fashioned gentleman.
Peter, a fabulous dresser, was known for his unique and diverse rodeo winning belt buckles, boots and jeans galore. A garden and automobile enthusiast, Peter collected watches and glass paperweights, was a champion competitive skeet shooter, and an avid skier of Mad River Glen.
Peter enjoyed an occasional Stoli on the rocks with a slice of orange in a wine glass, and loved good music. He was generous to a fault and a true friend in every sense of the word.
Peter was the loving and devoted Life Partner to Stephanie Fein for over 30 years. He also leaves his best friend Pippa, their sweet loving Pitbull. Mr. Hollander was a fabulous father to Kymberly, dear brother of Roger and the late Stuart, uncle to Jeffrey, Scott, Christopher, Jodi, and Todd Hollander and Tracy Lebowitz,
A Memorial Service will be held 2:30PM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ.
