Bob, as he was known to many, was born on August 17, 1943 in New York, to Evelyn and Albert Frankel. He earned a business degree from Tulane University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. Bob was a lifelong student of the game of golf, and took enormous pride in sharing that passion with those he knew and loved. Bob filled any room he walked into, and his big laugh and sly sense of humor brought everyone he met into the warmth of his outsize personality.
He is survived by his loving wife, and closest friend, Chickie; his sons Evan (wife Suzy) and Jarrett (wife Eugenie); and four grandchildren: Colby, Gracie, Wylie, and Beatrice; and predeceased by his beloved Lhasa Apso, Layla.
