Bob was born to Milton and Mary Lang and was their only child. Through hard work and dedication, he built a successful career as a CPA and established his own thriving practice. He continued working until the end of his life and was especially proud that his grandson, Brandon, now runs the business, with his grandson Lucas recently joining him.
Bob had a lifelong love of music, sports, good friends, and family. He played tennis for many years and later took up golf, a game he especially enjoyed playing with his son and grandsons. He also loved playing cards and going out to dinner with friends. Music was always an important part of his life. As a teenager, he played in a jazz band and later became an accomplished pianist. There was always a piano in his home, and the sound of Bob playing became a familiar and treasured part of his children’s childhood. In his later years, his beloved dog, Cali, was his constant companion and rarely left his side.
Family was at the heart of Bob’s life. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Lang and his wife, Rose; Marjorie Lang and her life partner, John Simonetti; and Elizabeth (Lang) Petersen and her husband, Wim; and his grandchildren, Brandon and his wife, Josephine, Lucas, Zachary, Katelyn, Jake, and Carly.
Bob was married to Sondra Lang, the mother of his children, for 40 years. He later shared 20 years with Linda Gordon Lang. Linda’s brother, Jay, and his wife, Harriet, and Linda’s children, Francine, Fred (and his wife, Ortal), and Lori (and her significant other, Peter Casey), and grandchildren, Maxwell and Mathew, became an important part of Bob’s family. Linda’s passing was a great loss to him.
In December 2025, Bob married Elena Goldman, bringing great happiness to the final chapter of his life. Elena’s daughters, Melissa and Stephanie, and their families, also became part of Bob’s extended family. Their beautiful wedding was a joyful celebration filled with family, dancing, and laughter—something Bob treasured deeply.
Bob will be remembered for his extraordinary work ethic, caring nature, and love of family. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
