

Bob started working at an early age at Penns Grove Products, his father’s business. He attended Weequahic High School in Newark. Followed by the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation he served two years in the Signal Corps of the Army.
He began his Life Insurance career in Newark, 1955. He later established The Reichenstein Company Inc. in Bloomfield until moving his business to Mountainside. Once established, he expanded his business to include selling all types of medical coverage and disability insurance. In 1976 he further expanded his business by becoming an enrolled actuary who administered pension benefits, profit sharing plans, 401K, as well as offering financial services.
He was a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and served as President and Trustee of the Newark Chapter Life Insurance in 1971-72. He also held a CLU-CHFC degree from American College. He received his CLU degree in 1961 and Chartered Financial Degree in 1984.
He moved to Irvington in 1956 and started a family. He then moved to South Orange where his children were raised. He was a member of Oheb Shalom Congregation, where he served as a trustee in the 1970’s. In 1980 he moved to Florham Park where he was living until his death.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Annie. He leaves behind a brother, 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
