

Ronald Jack Yellen, age 86, passed away on July 25, 2026. Born on October 20, 1939, Ronald was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He later lived in Staten Island from 1970 to 2000 before moving to Livingston, New Jersey.
Ronald devoted 35 years of professional life to public service as a Signal Design Engineer for the New York City Department of Transportation. Through steady dedication and careful expertise, he contributed to the work of a city that never stops moving, retiring in 1997 after a long and respected career.
Ronald was the beloved husband of Sheila Yellen, the loving father of Mindi Weissman (Alan) and Charles Yellen (Jodi), and the devoted grandfather of Phillip and Jonathan Yellen and Zachary and Samantha Weissman. He was also the cherished brother of Fred Yellen and Bonnie Jenkin (Ken).
A committed member of the Seville Lodge Jewish Brotherhood in Brooklyn, NY, Ronald valued community and connection, offering his presence with quiet constancy and sincere respect for tradition and fellowship.
Family and friends will be received at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd, Livingston, New Jersey 07039, on July 28, 2026, from 10:15 am to 10:45 am. A Funeral Service will follow at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 on July 28, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095, US, on July 28, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
Shiva will be observed on July 28, 2026, at The Home of Mindi and Alan Weissman from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Shiva will also be observed on July 29, 2026, at Park Avenue Synogogue, 50 East 87th Street, New York, NY 10128, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
