I just found Ruth's obituary notice and I'm so upset that I didn't find it sooner.  I had misplaced her phone number due to a move, and by the time I found it, the number had been disconnected.
My Mother and I met Ruth and Shimmy in 2001 on the QE2.  We became instant friends and stayed in touch by letters and phone calls through the years. We even went on other cruises just to spend more time with them.
 Ruth was so beautiful, witty, and fun and Shimmy was charming and told great stories (and he loved to dance like my Mother).  When Shimmy passed, Ruth left me a voice message telling me that he and Nancy were dancing in Heaven. It was such a wonderful thing to say, so caring.  While they danced on the ship, it gave Ruth and me time to talk about everything under the sun (and moon).  Although we never visited each other on land, their friendship meant so much.  I hope they are together talking about the good times we had.
