Ruthellen Poleshuck Schulman passed away Aug. 9, 2019, at the age of 81, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was born on July 30, 1938, in Newark, N.J., and lived in Irvington, South Orange, West Orange, Short Hills, N.J. and was currently living in Boca Raton, Florida. After graduating Emerson College, she married her lifetime love, Saul Schulman, on Feb. 20, 1960. They were born in the same hospital a week apart, were friends in summer camp and high school sweethearts. She was an award-winning real estate agent at Norma Lerhhoff Altman Realty in Millburn, NJ, and later worked at AT&t Credit Corp. Upon retiring to Florida, she took classes at FAU, and won masters points at bridge club.
Ruthellen is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Sussman; brother-in-law, Bernie Zitofsky; her children, Dr. Kevin Schulman and Brenda Berlin, Bruce Schulman, and Amy Eskind, and eight grandchildren, Madeline, Alec, Isaac, Jacob, Eli, Micah, Rebecca and Noah.
