Our beloved father, Shelly passed away on December 23rd at the age of 87. He was a lawyer in the state of New Jersey for 60 years, following in the footsteps of his father, Maurice who was also a NJ lawyer. Shelly had a lifelong penchant for gadgets and gizmos and could fix absolutely anything. During our childhood, we never once had a repairman come to the house. Our dad fixed it all. He built his own color television in the 70s and it served as our family TV until 1990, but not because it broke, because they wanted a bigger one. Shelly was a beautiful soul with a generous, loyal and loving heart. Anyone who knew him was the recipient of his unyielding devotion. His sense of humor kept everyone laughing, especially our mother, Carol, whose passing preceded his by almost two years. They were married for 53 years and had an enviable love story. Engaged after only two weeks of dating and married a few months later, their bond grew and deepened throughout their lives. He took such pride and pleasure in being able to provide for his family and 5 grandchildren. We know that our parents are now together, where they belong, loving each other and watching over us-- the two brightest stars in the sky. Shelly leaves behind two children, Lee and Lauri, and 5 adoring grandchildren.
