Shirley Rabinowitz, of West Orange passed away on July 17, 2017 at the age of 95. Born and raised in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Bella and Louis Rubin. She graduated Weequahic High School in 1938. She married Saul Rabinowitz in 1947 and lived in Newark and Orange before moving to West Orange. Mrs. Rabinowitz was a member of Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange. She retired in 1990 as an Office Manager for Jabel Jewelry Manufacturing in Irvington. She later worked as a Bookkepper for their business, Robert Fine Footwear till the business closed in 1994.
She was predeceased by her husband Saul Rabinowitz in 2002, and her sister Anna Marion, and brother David Rubin. Surviving are her children Jay Rabinowitz and Amy Rabinowitz, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:45AM at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ. Intrement will be in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ.
