Stan was a wonderful man. I am so sorry for your loss. He was caring and tough at the same time. He helped families in the middle of the night, gave teens job opportunities, and the community always had "the store" to go to when they needed just about anything! I loved working at Stan Beck's. Stan and the Beck family were very kind to me and so many in Florham Park.

Stan Beck is remembered fondly in Florham Park, where he was much more than a successful businessman.  When one of my children needed medication in the middle of the night, Stan met me at the pharmacy as though it were the middle of the day.
Stan hired so many young teens to work in the store.  He treated them well, introducing them to merchandising and customer relations, dependability and punctuality, among other skills.  And they all learned to wrap packages with a smile! 
Stan generously supported local causes and came to the aid of those who needed help. 
May he rest in peace.

Indeed, Stan was an institution in Florham Park.I began working there while in high school. .when I began college, Stan tailered my hours around my classes.  He was always there to help...I remember him dropping everything and running to assist when the fire alarm in town rang.A lovely man who will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

In hearing of the passing of the great Stan Beck, my heart is heavy, but a smile crossed my face with the memories. When I was 10 or 11 years old, I was ambitious. I wanted to find a way to supplement my fifty cent a week allowance with real money that would allow me to buy comic books and Star Wars figures. With the help of my mother, we baked cookies, and I would go door to door selling them to the neighbors. One day I realized that all that walking was tiresome, and people went to stores to buy their food. How could I get them to come to me? So I began my search for a merchant in Florham Park to allow me to set up shop in front of a store. I went big going to the grocery store first. They said “no.” I tried the P.O., they said “no.” I asked a host of places, even calling owners of shopping centers on the phone, they all said “no”. One day I walked into Stan's store. He raised his eyebrow, asked me a few questions, and with a smile he said “yes” to this earnest kid. That began a friendship and business association that lasted for about ten years. Every summer I baked my cookies every Thursday and Friday, and Stan allowed me to sell my wares on his sidewalk. While he never asked for it, I paid him rent. Each day I was there, Stan received a dozen chocolate chip cookies. My family got into it with me. My little brother would walk up and down the sidewalk shouting out “Chad's homemade chocolate chip cookies” (which he may not have forgiven me for to this day), and eventually my sisters helped me sell them. Even after I graduated high school, my sisters took over selling the cookies, but I was still the cook in the kitchen during my college years. Stan always got his dozen. So, it saddens me to hear of Stan's passing from my home here in California surrounded by all my Star Wars figures and comic books, but I am forever happy and grateful for the generous act of kindness of that man willing to give a kid a chance.

Stan was a supreme mentor to me as I interned in Florham Park Pharmacy in 1962-63. His demeanor and retailing expertise have been a level of achievement I have always tried to emulate in my life. We will all miss  this great pharmacist.

Stan thanks for your service and helping the FP community. I always pestered my Mom to buy me a toy car or truck in the late 70's. Thanks for the memories and RIP.

My greatest memory of Stan was when he allowed my 12 yr. old son, Chad, to set up a table every weekend to sell his home made choc. chip cookies in front of his Pharmacy in Florham Park.  Stan encouraged his entrepreneurial skills for 6 yrs. Chad paid rent to Stan in the form of a baker's dozen cookies that were made at 3 a.m. each sale day.     His brother, Blair, and sisters Tori and Megan, not only helped to sell, but they took over the business when Chad went to college.  Today, Chad is a successful animator in Burbank, CA. His siblings are just as successful in their endeavors in life.
I also want to mention that Stan AND son Jim, ALWAYS came to the pharmacy in the middle of the night to get a much needed medication for our youngest daughter when she was in the throws of a serious asthma attack.  Those were multiple acts that literally saved her life and got her through horrific nights.
We are saddened by the death of this kind and generous man.

which we all miss, but as our driver on the Monday day crew for the Florham Park First Aid Squad for many years. He will always be remembered as a truly caring, kind hearted gentleman. May he rest in peace,

I have so many fond memories of Stan Beck and his Florham Park Pharmacy, which was a community institution when I was coming of age in FP (1956-1964).  Sending deep condolences to all his family and friends.

My family adored and respected Stan for what he brought to Florham Park. Compassion to everyone he cared for. He lead by example.It didnt matter how busy the Pharmacy was..He took the time to listen. I can remember going into the store after being away 10 years, Not only did he remember my name but asked about how my parents were. My parents the (Martini's) always said Stan Beck business was about servicing families first. Our deep condolences.

We were so sorry to hear that Stan had passed and We were upset that we had to miss the service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always rember Stan and the wonderful pharmacy that I grew up going to. He was a great man and we will miss him.

I remember riding my purple sting ray bicycle to Stan Becks in the late 1960s to pick things up for my parents and always being greeted by Mr Beck. Another Florham Park pillar off to heaven. My parents are sure to welcome him with open arms.

I will always be grateful that Stan let my brother and me sell "Chad's Chocolate Chip Cookies" in front of the pharmacy during the summer for a couple days a week.  To be honest...I think he just liked getting a dozen cookies in "rent" money! Great memories!

When we moved to Florham Park in 1966, Stan was our Pharmacist. When we left in 1972, Stan was our Pharmacitsty.  I know his family were always involved in the community.  He will be missed by many folks.  OUr best to his family

He was a great guy. When someone from town needed a prescription in the middle of the night, they would call the Police Department, we would call Stan, and regardless of the day, holiday or hour, he would fill the prescription.

There was always the best, most cool things in the store; they always made the best presents.  He was always a spiritual man, a Mensch, and I will continue to have warm thoughts about him and the good things he did.

All the Gibson kids, myself included, worked for Stan during our high school years. I remember him fondly and always enjoyed going into the store to see him after I graduated. Sending love, prayers and good thoughts to his family.

Stan Beck was a legacy in Florham Park and the town was very fortunate to have had his wonderful service for many years. He will be truly missed by everyone for his undying help to everyone he came in contact with. Sincere condolences to his family.
