11, 1942 in Newark, NJ. She was a graduate of Millburn High School, earned her bachelor's
degree at Douglass College and graduate degrees at Rutgers University, and was an English
teacher, special education teacher and school administrator for over 50 years, including at
Columbia High School, Livingston High School, David Brearly High School and Fairleigh
Dickinson University.
She was the much beloved wife for 59 years of Gerald Poss, mother of Jeffrey Poss, Michael
Poss and Elisabeth Barenholtz, sister of Joan Dichter, mother-in-law of Judith (Brous) Poss,
Faye (Snyder) Poss and Stuart Barenholtz, and doting grandmother of Hannah, Sarah,
Jonathan, Jonah, Max, Aiden, Sophia and Leo. Steffi loved her family above all else and will be
dearly missed.
