Stephen (Steve) was born in 1939 and grew up in Brooklyn. Although very much a New Yorker, he moved from Manhattan to New Jersey in 1975 where he and his wife Alicia (the love of his life and partner of 53 years) raised their three children.
He led a varied career in business, first with decades in his father's textile business, import/export, and later in real estate development, home construction, and renovation where he truly loved mentoring and advising many of the people he worked with.
He was a devoted son and a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and cousin who adored hosting family for holidays, meals, simchas and impromptu gatherings on the deck. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him the greatest joy. He loved Israel, being together with his extended family there, and welcoming them into the Zucker home when they came to the United States.
He was a fantastic storyteller with an infectious laugh. Whether reminiscing about his childhood in Brooklyn, his many travels and adventures around the world, or stories about his family, he had a gift for drawing you into every detail. He was always full of life and love and nothing was more important to him than his family. He will be missed by the people whose lives he touched through big and small acts of kindness. His memory and legacy will live on forever through his family, who adored him with all of their hearts.
