Today I heard about Dr. Steven Weintraub's passing and my heart is  heavy.    Working with Dr. Weintraub at North Shore Hospital was an enriching experience.    He was not only a mentor, but  the first MD who truly believed in Nurse Practitioners.  He would take you under his wing and teach you in many different vivid ways.  He was one of the most brilliant physicians I have worked with.  He will be truly missed.       

I worked with Dr. Weintraub in presurgical testing at North Shore.  I started there as a new nurse practitioner and was nervous about the new role- but because of Dr. Weintraub's mentorship and teaching I became a more confident NP.  I will always be grateful for his teaching and friendship. He will be missed. 

Saddened to hear the news of Dr. Weintraub’s passing.  He was truly one of a kind. I will always remember his amazing medical knowledge and the days he mentored me in Presurgical testing.  He was a kind gentle soul and to know him was to appreciate him. May he rest in peace. 

I work with Dr. Weintraub in pre surgical testing.  He was a mentor to many of us. His exacting standards  made me a better practitioner. 

Prayers for Steve and his beautiful family , whom he adored. He was a mentor , a friend and I am truly heartbroken to hear of his passing .  

So upset to hear this.  He was my mentor in pre surgical testing. Taught me so much. Prayers for him and the family.

Steve loved life.  All of us  who were lucky enough to share even moments of Steve’s relentless love of so much are blessed.
