Susan L Dratch

Susan Leitner Dratch, 74, of North Caldwell and Delray Beach, FL died July 18, 2021. She was born in The Bronx, NY and raised in Massapequa, NY. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo, where she earned a degree in education and became a teacher. She married Edward Dratch, the love of her life, in 1969 and was married for 51 years. They had three daughters and raised their family in North Caldwell, NJ. Susan then taught preschool for many years and loved both the children and their parents.

Susan will always be remembered for her irreverence, sharp wit and sense of humor, thoughtful advice, strong opinions, honesty and, of course, the devotion to and deep love for her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and many close friends.

Never will there be a day that goes by when Susan is not remembered with fondness and love. She was a true matriarch whose support and love was evident to all of those in her care. She will be missed forever.

Susan is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Alex Leitner. She is survived by husband Edward; daughters Alexis Shaw (Jonathan), Jodie Dratch, Karen Roth (Teddy); grandchildren Oliver and Avery Shaw, Asher Saul and Gavin and Ruby Roth; sister Meryl Katz; and brother Arnold Leitner.
