Born in Newark and raised in Irvington, Susan was married for 56 years to her husband Gary and they knew each other for 63 years. First living in Elizabeth, they built their own home and raised their family in West Orange, living there for 40 years before moving to Verona 12 years ago.
Loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, Susan was a teacher at the Gregory Elementary School in West Orange. She was a Division President with the National Council of Jewish Women and Art Show Chairperson. While raising her family Susan was active with the St. Cloud Elementary School PTA and President for two years.
Surviving are her husband Gary; daughters: Michele and her husband Philip Scharago, Jennifer and her husband Robert Rubinson; and grandchildren: Lindsey, Jake, Haylie and Lily.
