She premiered many roles and art songs by a wide variety of composers, a number of whom wrote works specifically for her. She had a strong desire to conduct going back to her conservatory days and found her true calling upon becoming the choir director at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Somerset Hills. She held this position for 10 years before having to resign due to her illness. In many ways, she found those ten years to be her most fulfilling musical experience. She took a group of congregants who had previously only been singing in unison and molded them, taught them and inspired them to achieve great things while having a wonderful time.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 1st at 2 PM at Congregation Ohr Shalom, 67 Kent Place Boulevard in Summit, New Jersey, 07901.
