I think of you all the time Toby, what a team we made...So grateful to have known you.

I send my deepest and sincerest condolences to the families of Brooke and Toby. This is a heart breaking tragedy for everyone, and having lost a parent when I was young (also in a car accident), I understand the need and importance to keep the memories alive every day.  Brooke and Toby were wonderful parents to their beautiful children, and they will live through their children's hearts and lives.  May you all find some solace and comfort through the love, kindness, devotion and honor in which they lived their lives and  in how they cared for everyone who touched their lives in some way.  After listening to all the incredibly touching thoughts shared at the funeral, I know your families will heal and will all be stronger together in helping to raise their beautiful children.

I am heartbroken for all family members and friends. Toby and I were in a couple of classes together at NYU. We were always very friendly with one another. We lost touch after college but I have fond memories of his smile and mirth during our college years. Wishing comfort to the Cohen children, grandparents, and all other family members.

I was a nanny for the family from about April until the end of August. Brooke was kind. Her smile made you smile, her laugh was contagious and she always cared for others more than herself. Toby was funny and passionate. He was full of love for his family. Brooke and Toby raised three wonderful kids that I had the opportunity of watching. They made sure their children were happy, kind and loved. I will never forget every moment I spent with them. After seeing them daily for months they made sure to include me in nearly everything. Brooke told me that she wanted the world for her children. She wanted them to be better than she was. But I don’t think anyone can outshine the kind of people they were. My son is in kindergarten with the boys, but in a different class. While I didn’t know Brooke and Toby, I do know that their children were surrounded by love and patience. They boys full of smiles in the morning and Brooke and Addie there with hugs and love. I am heartbroken for the family and thinking of them. May the children experience as little pain as possible and may Brooke and Toby’s memories be a blessing.

I met Toby through our mutual friend Andrew Rafii and Liel Hollander just a few times- probably over 15 years ago. How profoundly  sad and tragic. I am crying for the three  small children, and the parents of this beautiful young couple. Please let me know if there’s anyway I can be of any sort of help. Maybe play dates with my children? Home cooked (Kosher Persian) food delivery?  I am so sorry for the loss of such young couple.

My prayers are being sent to both families and the 3 precious children.  Your loss of your beloved Adult children is unimaginable and so utterly heartbreaking.  
I’m hoping with time the entire family can heal in some way to provide hope and a sense of well-being for Brooke & Toby’s children.

I hadn't seen Toby since leaving NYC in 2014, and yet for some reason feel like we only last said hello a few months ago. His warmth and silliness always made me smile. The love between Toby and Brooke was always palpable to me. This terrible news just doesn't seem real. Sending refuah shlema to both families, and to all who were close to the Cohens.

I am broken hearted. I played and taught Jake and Cooper at the JCC. I would very much like to spend some time with them to help them see a familiar face. I'd known Toby for 23 years, even though more recently we were only in touch a few times a years. We last spoke 3 months ago and his last words to me were one of his typical good-natured jokes. He always had a smile and a joke, was boisterous, excited about his interests, passionate, and looking for ways to make the world a better place. He loved his family and his kids, and I hope the children are able to make a full and speedy recovery. My deepest condolences to everyone who loved Toby and Brooke. May their memory be a blessing.
