A devoted sister, mother, and grandmother, Wendy is survived by her beloved sister, Lolly; her cherished daughters, Lauren and Danna; and her adored grandchildren, Benjamin Berlin and Vivian Shay.
Wendy wore many hats throughout her life—high school teacher, dance instructor, entrepreneur, and, as many would call her, the “town mayor.” But above all, she was a dancer at heart. Music was her rhythm, and movement was her language. From teaching dance to simply letting the music take over in any setting, she found joy in every step. She believed in the power of music to heal, bring people together, and celebrate life’s moments, big and small.
She had an extraordinary gift for making friends wherever she went, and her home was always open to anyone needing a warm welcome. Her giving spirit, love of dance, and infectious energy could light up any room.
Wendy’s love for her family and friends was boundless. She adored her daughters and grandchildren, and her passion for life was evident in everything she did. She was truly a light to all who knew her, and her loss will be deeply felt.
Now, she is dancing among the stars, her spirit forever shining bright.
The family will be receiving guests for Wendy on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, New Jersey 07039, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.
