William J. Adesso passed away Sunday December 4th 2022 knowing he was loved by family and friends. Bill grew up in Newark and moved to Bloomfield where he lived for 39 years before settling in Toms River.
He served during the Vietnam War in Company C 2nd Armored Division as a First-Class Gunner and Marksman. A decorated veteran, Bill earned several accommodations and citations, including the Valorous Unit Award, Combat Infantryman Badge, two Bronze Service Stars and a Purple Heart.
Bill was a Master of furniture restoration and worked in numerous areas of the furniture industry until his retirement in 2008.
He enjoyed collecting model trains, music, the NY Giants, keeping family traditions alive, telling stories about the good ole days and he had an appreciation for all things automotive; but nothing matched his love of family, friends and country.
Bill is predeceased by his mother Eugenia, father James and older sister Lois.
He is the beloved father of his oldest son William Jr his wife Maryann, youngest son Christopher, wife Denise and grandchildren Christopher, Maria and Sophia. He will be greatly missed by his grand dogs Nikki, Nina, and Zakk. His dear brother Vincent; his children Marc and Anna; her husband Brian and their children Nica and Soleil. He will be greatly missed by his lifelong and cherished friends Frank Mascatelli and Charlie Quinn.
Bill lived his life as an honorable man.
He belonged to Freemason Lodge Number 18 of Toms River, The Military Order of The Purple Heart Chapter 701, and several other charitable organizations.
