Bill gave me an opportunity 27 years ago to help him renegotiate his office lease for Furman & McDonagh.  I had little experience being in the real estate business for only a year but he was kind and give me a chance.  I will always remember this experience.  

I had the great fortune to work at New England Life's home office in Boston in the 1970s. One of the most memorable interviews I did as Editor of The Pilot's Log, NEL's field magazine, was of Bill Furman. He was a consummate professional, always working hard for his clients and always willing to help new agents. He was very helpful to me as well and I always appreciated his intellect and his generosity with his time in helping others. I miss him!

I'll always be grateful for the friendship Bill showed my father, through good times and bad. I hope you and the children are coping well.

In the eighties and the nineties I did a great deal of business with Bill.  He was a tough guy to say no to.  He always had the great smile and of course a warm greeting.  I was so sorry to see that he passed away.

Dear Beth, Jerry and I were sorry to read of Bill's death. Your absense at the NJ Symphony concerts has been noted and assumed to have been a sign of his deteriorating condition which we are sure has been difficult for you and the family.
