Maria R. Kamber, 83, of Phoenix (formerly of Oak Park) passed away September 8, 2019. Mrs. Kamber was born on May 19, 1936, in Rayones, Mexico to Emilio Mora and Feliciana Carrisales. Maria was very proud to have become a U.S. Citizen in 1988. Earlier in her life, Maria enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and music, especially mariachi. She would always take care of those in need including runaways and stray animals. For over 20 years she was a floral designer at Breath of Spring in Bloomfield Hills. Most of all she loved her family and caring for them. She raised her family in Oak Park and later retired to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Maria is survived by sons, Steven A. Kamber, David (Denise) Kamber; and daughter Deborah (Tim) McCrory; grandchildren, Samantha (Michael) Benson, Shauna Kamber, Anna Kamber, Sarah Kamber and Rachel Kamber, Angela Shannahan, Kyle Shannahan and Brett Shannahan. Maria was pre-deceased by her son, Bert Kamber; and brother, Alfredo Mora.
Burial services will be held on September 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, 32163 W Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, MI 48134.
