I remember my cousin Alice as the very glamorous, fun lady that always showed up at family occasions wearing a beautiful hat and a beautiful smile. Jesse and I enjoyed having Alice and Louise visit us when we lived in the Villages in Florida. It was so great to have them spend the night while we reminisced about old family memories such as our parents spending every Saturday night playing pinochle together when we were kids. I'm glad I was able to visit with Alice while she was still in her condo before she went to assisted living. RIP dear cousin.

Our Dear Aunt Alice – One of the most welcoming, caring, and generous people we had the wonderful opportunity to have in our lives. We started with welcoming – we loved going to your house for holidays and parties where you and Uncle Wally were always the best hostess and host making sure everyone was enjoying themselves (so… it was understandable that Uncle Wally would sneak off for an “occasional” nap. Hosting fabulous parties can take a lot out of a person!). Please know, we always enjoyed ourselves and felt very welcomed. We then mentioned caring…we looked forward to the birthday cards received from you and Uncle Wally which always included an amusing “caricature” of you that made us laugh long and hard. We have kept every single one! Thanks for caring about your two little nieces to take time out of your busy lives and remember our birthdays. Last but not ever least, your generosity. So many, many examples to mention! The cruise you invited us on with Kevin and Karen and their families was so very wonderful to us. It was so nice to reconnect with our cousins and their children! Your generosity gave us a new adventure but mostly, memories. We will miss you beyond words Aunt Alice. Thank you for being in our lives and as mentioned by your friend, give Uncle Wally a kiss from us. Please include Jessie, Eddie, Ruthie, and Lou as I’m sure they will try to cut in line. Love, Ronda and Rachelle.

Alice, I will always remember you as a woman with so much grace, beauty and excellent taste. Most of all, you were so fun and full of life and love. Trips to Florida, dinner and dancing at Mitch Houseys, redecorating Karen’s kitchen when she was in the hopital after delivering Madison, and how you never pulled your punches, tell it like it is! So many years of love and laughs. You will stay in my heart always. Give Wally a kiss from me...
