

Amos was born on August 24, 1925 to Anthony and Martha Sobier in Detroit, MI. He married Patricia Moynahan on June 21, 1947 at Holy Trinity Church in Detroit. She preceded him in death on November 13, 1992.
Amos is survived by his five children, Pamela (Ted) Prince, Cynthia (Bill) Krause, Michael (Donna) Sobier, Carol (Tim) Mulhall, and Nancy (Dave) Rodgers; 11 grandchildren, Greg, Jeff, Marie, Therese, Pamela, William, Robert, Kristyn, Melissa, Matthew, and Amanda; 30 great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Sobier.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Martha, and 6 siblings, and previous wife Lea.
He served in World War II Army Infantry, and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. He enjoyed being at his cottage in Cheboygan, MI. He liked to stay busy with his numerous projects. He was an electrician with I.B.E.W Local 58 Detroit, MI. He also worked on the Alaskan Pipeline in 1970's. He was actively involved in the Knights of Columbus, VFW, St. Paul of the Cross Retreat House, and St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Redford, MI.
Visitation will be held on December 17th from 2pm-9pm, with a 5pm rosary service at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia. A Funeral Mass will be held on December 18th at St. John XXIII Parish in Redford at 10:30am (in-state at 10am). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the VA (United States Veteran Administration).
