Art was the loving husband of Sherrill for over 54 years. Cherished father of Cindy, Anne-Marie and Chris (Donna). Beloved grandpa of Madison and Gabriella and dear brother of Carole McBride and John "Jack".
Art was drafted into the US Army following the Korean War. He served with the Military Police in German, before returning home. Upon returning home Arthur began working in Tool and Die before retiring as a foreman. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and volunteering. He was spend a lot of time with his wife, Sherrill enjoying time with his grandchildren and traveling from Hawaii to Alaska and many other memorable trips.
Art was active in the community. He was an avid volunteer working with various organization throughout the area including NAMI (National Alliance Mental Illness) where he taught classes to assist families who are effected by mental illness, was aboard member of Lincoln Behavioral Services and was the president and facilitator of a local support group for families effected by mental illness.
Art's family will receive friends on Monday February 11, 2013 from 11 am until the time of his funeral service, 5 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (north side of Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh) in Livonia.
