

In November 1942 Arthur began his service in the United States Army. He served his country honorably during WWII while with the 103rd Infantry serving in the European Theater and receiving several awards and accommodations for his service.
Upon returning home, Arthur met the love of his life, Virginia at a local roller rink. They enjoyed 58 wonderful years together before her passing. He later began working as a Radiology Technician for the University of Michigan. He proudly worked for them for over 30 years before retiring.
Upon his retirement Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was always active enjoying his bike rides, boating and camping. While relaxing at home Arthur enjoyed listening to music and loved collecting his wide range of model rail roads.
Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Virginia. The loving father of Gloria (Kenneth) Trierweiler and David. The cherished grandfather of Sarah and the late Wayne and the beloved great grandfather of Hannah and Aidan.
Arthur's family will receive friends on Friday March 30, 2012 from 4-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
His life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Saturday March 31, 2012 at 11am the funeral home. In honor of Arthur's dedicated service to his county there will be military honors preformed at the funeral home at the conclusion of the service.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
