Audrey G. Wright, 97 years young, passed away Wednesday - June 2, 2021. Audrey was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 26, 1924. Audrey loved her dogs, spending time in her garden, bowling, ice cream and especially her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey honorably served during WW II in the United States Navy. Audrey and her family were very proud of her return to Franklin High School in Livonia, where she earned her high School diploma at age 50!
Audrey was married to Albert Wright on October 14, 1950 in Detroit. Audrey was a working mother as a machine operator in the automotive industry. She and Albert raised their daughter and son in Dearborn and Westland.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Pam (Mike) Basharrah, son, Nick (Kellie) Wright; grandchildren, Jennifer (Sam) Perry, Jasin Wright and Crystal Wright; great-grandchildren, Heaven (Leo Perez) Perry, Ebony Perry, Trentyn Fox, and Deontae Perry. A great-great-grandson, Alejandro Jordan Perry-Perez is expected this month.
Friends and relatives may visit on Monday - June 7, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Tuesday - June 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
