Barbara Anne LaFerle

Barbara "Barb" Anne LaFerle was born on August 17, 1935 and passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" LaFerle. Loving mother of Dennis (Betty) LaFerle and the late Lisa Marie LaFerle. Dear grandmother of Michael and Candace (Kuk) LaFerle, Jacqueline (LaFerle) and Joel Thompson, Carolyn (LaFerle) and Stephen Gergely, Christopher and Michelle (Benham) LaFerle and Kyle LaFerle. Loving great-grandmother of 7.

Barb and Bill loved traveling, especially trips to Hawaii. As long time members of the Detroit Red Wings For 'Em Club, they went to countless Wings games at Joe Louis Arena, Little Caesars Arena and visiting other hockey towns.

Over the years Barb became an accomplished seamstress. She was very talented in her embroidery skills, making quilts and making clothing. She was also in bookkeeping for several years. Barb attended St. Aidan's Catholic Church in Livonia for ten years and St. John Bosco Parish for forty years before that. Barb loved her grandkids and great-grandkids very much and loved to spend time with them. She will be tremendously missed by all that knew her.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation on Saturday, September 21st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Sunday, September 22nd from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm (7:00 pm Rosary Service) at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Aidan's Catholic Church in Livonia on Monday, September 23rd at 9:30 am (in state at 9:00 am). Barb will be privately be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with her beloved husband, Bill. A memorial luncheon will be held at the Italian American Club, 39200 Five Mile Rd. in Livonia from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
