I remember Aunt Barbara telling Bob and me about her cruise travels and how much she loved it, and how many cruises she took. Bob recalls at an early age Aunt Barbara burning rubber in her Pontiac Bonneville when she left their house.
Bobby and Denny would ask her to "burn rubber" and she would.

Family is a group of people bound by love for one another. My grandma was a beautiful, loving, caring person who was devoted to her family. I feel so blessed to have had my grandma in my life and I cherish all the family gatherings, birthdays, and holidays we have celebrated together each year. I have always enjoyed my time with Grandma Starrett and will miss our talks about family and life. I love you always Grandma!!

Grandma Starrett was such a great model of what a person should be. She was strong, which we can see from all of the hardships she fought through from the passing of Grandpa in 2001 and living without him for all these years to her battles with cancer. She was so caring and raised her family so well. We always had a special bond whenever I went over to do a bit of yard work for her or shovel her driveway. I did want to help with the work, but I also just wanted to see Grandma and talk to her about the small things over a pop (soda for non midwesterners), just the two of us. She can now be with Grandpa, which is where she was always meant to be. I will miss her so much. Much love to my mom, Aunt Elaine, and Aunt Nancy; we appreciate how you took care of Grandma these past many years and showed her so much love.

We lost an adorable, amazing, caring, gentle woman.....my grandma. 🥰God has gained another angel. She can now Rest In Peace with our grandpa that we lost 19 years ago. She lived a wonderful life raising her three daughters and being surrounded by a big family that loved her and took care of her these last couple years when she could not live alone. 😌I am grateful to have spent so many Tuesday’s after school (before COVID) spending quality time with her. She loved to talk. She loved to gamble too. 😊She will be missed by all of us. Love you grandma. 💗💕💗

We had so much fun since moving back to Michigan with Mrs. Starrett. Our Saturday trips to MGM and having dinner together and going out to eat (when life was not so complicated) and visiting with her at Elaine's house just talking. She so loved her family and it showed in everything she did and said. I will miss her asking us if we have been to the casino and if we won. We are grateful for her faith as we know she is in a better place and with loved ones she has been asking about. Love to Elaine, Mary and Nancy in this difficult time.
