Barbara Ann Xenakis was born in Detroit, Michigan to Allen and Betty Cooper. She was the oldest of 2 children. Barbara passed away peacefully in her Canton, Michigan home on March 9, 2021 at the age of 75. She was under the gentle care of her family and Henry Ford Hospice.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Constantine "Connie" Xenakis for 36 wonderful years. Loving mother of Cheryl (Brian) Alcorn and dear sister of James (Mary) Cooper. Barbara will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Barbara had a successful administrative career for the hospitals. In her spare time she loved to knit and show off her classic cars. Barbara and Connie belonged to "America's Most Wanted" Car Club and she absolutely loved to display her 1936 Chevy Hot Rod while listening to her favorite Doo-Wop music.
However, her passion was her family. She simply loved being a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
