

Benedetta “Betty” Galli, age 101, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at the age of 101. She was born on June 22, 1923, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Rosetti) Galli.
Betty was a woman who lived a life of devotion to both her family and her community. A lifelong parishioner at St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia, she was a devoted member for over 40 years, sharing her faith and compassion with those around her.
For many years, Betty worked as a bookkeeper for Chrysler, a position that required a keen mind and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the days before calculators became commonplace.
Above all, Betty was a deeply devoted sister, aunt, and friend. She valued her family above everything else and took great pride in guiding her nieces and nephews, offering her wisdom and love at every opportunity.
She had an incredible ability to bring comfort, joy, and a sense of direction to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Betty is survived by her loving brother, Tirigi “Ted” Galli; her deceased brother Carmen’s wife, Beverly Galli; and her nieces and nephews: Mary Jo (Dr. Randal) Bourjaily, Richard (Patti) Galli, Keith Galli, and Maria Galli-Davison. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Dr. Richard Bourjaily, Ryan Bourjaily, Anthony Galli, and Gina Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maria Galli; her brother, Carmen Galli; and her sister, Helen Galli-Rhinehart.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, with In State beginning at 10:30 am. A Private Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Church in Southfield.
